The Jaisalmer Fort is one of Rajasthan's most recognizable landmarks. It was built in 1156 AD by Raja Jaisal, a Rajput king. It is one of the biggest forts on Earth. The Jain temples of Jaisalmer Fort are a cluster of buildings that date back to the 12th century and are devoted to the Jain Tirthankaras. The peculiar architectural style of the temples is modeled from the Dilwara temple of Mount Abu. These temples, constructed entirely of yellow sandstone, are a sight to see because to their intricate carvings and well-connected design.

Among Jaisalmer's havelis, Salim Singh Ki Haveli stands out due to its striking design. The king forbade the then-minister Salim Singh, who intended to build it as tall as the fort, from doing so. Those hoping to unwind in less crowded surroundings won't find a better value than this less expensive alternative to Sam Sand Dunes.
